Manage Your Sharing & Following Profiles

My AcuRite allows you to share your outdoor readings with Weather Underground and also with friends and family that have a My AcuRite account. Additionally, you can follow other My AcuRite accounts.

The information below explains how My AcuRite Sharing & Following works.

Sharing with Weather Underground (smartHUB only)

To share your outdoor readings with Weather Underground, from your My AcuRite account simply set up a Weather Underground Sharing Profile (located in the Share Weather menu).

NOTE

Before you set up your My AcuRite sharing profile, you must register with Weather Underground to obtain a Station ID and Station Key. Each Connection Device shared with Weather Underground requires a unique Station ID.

From your My AcuRite Weather Underground profile settings, you select an AcuRite Connection Device and sensor and provide your Weather Underground Station ID and Station Key. Once your My AcuRite Weather Underground profile is setup, outdoor readings are automatically sent to Weather Underground by way of Rapid Fire updates directly from the AcuRite Connection Device. The frequency that readings are sent to Weather Underground is determined by the sensor's reading frequency.

Sharing with Weather Underground - PC Connect only

Sharing the outdoor readings of a 5-in-1 Weather Station is set up in the PC Connect software - do not set up a Weather Underground Sharing profile in your My AcuRite account. Before you set up Weather Underground sharing in PC Connect. You must provide your Weather Underground Station ID and Station Key.

Sharing with a My AcuRite account

You can share your sensor readings with your friends and family - simply enable sharing on the AcuRite Connection Device and provide them the 12-character Device ID of the AcuRite Connection Device you want to share with them. From their My AcuRite account, they add your device's 12-character Device ID to their Accounts I Follow profile. Your shared device is displayed as a tab on their Dashboard.

Following a My AcuRite account

You can follow a My AcuRite account to view an account's AcuRite Connection Device from your Dashboard.

To follow an account, you simply add the 12-character Device ID of the AcuRite Connection Device you want to follow to your Accounts I Follow profile.

  • The account must enable sharing on the AcuRite Connection Device they want to share with you.
  • There is no limit on the number of devices you can follow.
