Location Details provides information specific to the location your AcuRite Connection Device (AcuRite Access, smartHUB, PC Connect).Information is based on the address or Postal Code set in the profile of the Connection Device.Visibility, cloud cover, sunrise, sunset, and moon phase is provided by our partner Dark Sky. Elevation, latitude, and longitude is provided by Google Maps™.
Location Details information provided
Visibility - refers to the distance at which a given standard object can be seen and identified with the unaided eye.
Clouds - refers to the cloud cover forecast for your area.
Elevation - refers to the height above sea level.
Latitude - the location north or south in reference to the equator, which is designated at zero (0) degrees.
Longitude - the location east or west in reference to the Prime Meridian, which is designated as zero (0) degrees longitude.
Sunrise - the time in the morning when the sun appears or full daylight arrives.
Sunset - the time in the evening when the sun disappears or daylight fades.
Moon Phase - the phase of the moon on the current day. The moon changes in appearance and location in the sky everyday, which is why we refer to the moon by its phases: new moon, new crescent moon, 1st quarter moon, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, 3rd quarter, and old crescent.
