This error message occurs when the Device ID entered is not recognized by My AcuRite. To add a device, the two requirements below must be met.

  1. Device has a network (internet) connection and has connected to My AcuRite.
  2. During its connection to My AcuRite, it sent a minimum of one (1) sensor reading; be sure that one AcuRite sensor is in range of the device.

This completes the registration requirements, which allows you to add the AcuRite Connection Device your account.
